Alot of history has been a result of geographical issues.

For example people have fought over land...and the results of those wars change the boundries of countries they change the geography of the land if you will.

Also natural disasters have been a huge part in shaping history and they often quite literally change the geography of the land.

Exploration was a big part of history...and exploration is all about discovering the geography of the world.

Those are just a few examples but there are many more
