Being a masochist, I find comfort in pain.
When pain is inflicted upon me (in a loving relationship, with my consent), it allows me to distance myself from all the noise in my head, allows me to concentrate on just what is happening in that moment.
It focuses me and re-prioritizes things, allowing me to let go of non-essential things. It is very freeing for me.

are you insane. that is like asking me do I enjoy being in pain with the 3 hernias in my neck or the inflammation in my foot now after my surgery 5 months later feeling like it is on fire or like it is going to break in half. Nontheless that I am not looking forward to the neck surgery I am going to be having because fo the excrutiating pain I will be enduring after it. You are something to ask a question like that.

I used to. It was just a dark time in my life. I was utterly alone, and I had no one to relate....so I found comfort in being alone. Besides, some of my best writing came from that time in my life. : )

yes, I did. I left one of my bf because it was too difficult for us to be together and he suffered too much for me. I suffered too when I did that, but I knew it was the best thing to do
