Frankly, I find it a little hard to believe that there are fewer flies in Florida than elsewhere in the US. Especially because they have conditions in most of Florida for reproduction year around.
If in fact there are fewer flies in Florida it would have to be that they are doing a better job of controlling their breeding conditions, tightly covered garbage cans. garbage tightly closed in plastic bags, garbage dumps carefully covered with soil daily, etc. If this is true then good for Florida, they should pass their example on to others.
