then on in some of the music has been so shallow. There are exception, but in the main most of the pop music has no message what so every. What is your own opinion of modern music and it's lyrics?

In each era there are songs that contain commentary of the social issues of the era and that is true to a degree of the songs of the new millenium eg. Green Day
Mostly however the songs reflect emotions such as love, heartbreak, sadness etc and these are valid also.

i am stuck somewhere between late 70's and early 90's with music. Not big on a lot of current music. Most of it all sounds the same to me. I think the 60's and 70's were a great time for "story-telling" music. The 80's werent so much and the 90's werent either.

Flower Power music with stories were the creme de la creme,
Protest songs and songs for peace...truly brilliant....
