Have you even tried to think about it? What does perspective mean? It means a person's point of view. Then it means that freedom is more than just a word, and it's meaning is determined by the point of view of the person involved.
What about the second one....what is a symbol...just a shape. Symbols represent something, people create them and they become important as more people accept that they represent the thing they represent.
These are pretty simple...all you need to do is actually give it some thought.

It means that freedom, although a word, is more a state of mind than anything. It is a way that you think, and act. It goes beyond the letters of the word, beyond the shape of the lines that make up those letters, into something powerful and real because of its connotative meaning to people.
Symbols are really nothing of any importance until the meaning is given to it by a person. A ring is just a round piece of metal, but when put on a certain finger by a certain person in a certain ceremony, it begins to stand for love, commitment, and marriage. A cross is just two lines intersecting each other at a certain point, but Christians have made it a holy, sacred symbol of Christ's suffering. But really, just to look at these things, it's just a round piece of metal, and a few lines.

Freedom is a perspective, not a word; means that freedom doesn't really have a clear cut definition, like most words do, instead; it changes depending on where you are coming from. For example, for many American women, the idea that middle eastern women have to wear a burka seems very restrictive, but for middle eastern women, this is their culture and most of them don't think twice about it.
