Best solution is to find a job that provides health insurance. Group health insurance cannot treat pregnancy as a pre-existing condition. I have been asked this question many times and there are no short cuts to the system. I hate to see you chase a bunch of dead ends. If all else fails, go seek guidance with a trusted OB/Gyn or contact a local pregnancy clinic with a good reputation in your area for "helping" pregnant mothers. Good luck to you.

You may make too much for total government assistance but they may still be able to help. I would talk to them anyway. Also.. hospitals charge less if you have no insurance so you could possible set up payment arrangements with them and the doctors and pay them off slowly. Good luck

and if you do make too much to get help from the government- Most hospitals will give you a significant "discount" if you call right away and set up a payment plan and start paying before you even have the baby. Call them and ask what they suggest- maybe they can help you find somewhere that can help too.

go ahead and appy for goverment assistance. They will already count your baby as a dependant!! At least in Missouri they do. You know, it never hurts to try. I hope you're able to get it because it will pay for most if not all of your expenses.
Congrats on your little belly bean!!!!

I'm not sure Re: all your prenatal care, I think you could probably work something out with your Dr. or he/she should be able to refer you to local organizations that help with this sort of thing. As for the hospital when you give birth - (I'm in California, so you should check in your own area if outside CA) if you set it up with them AHEAD of time, its only about $5K and you can make payments. But you HAVE to make sure to make that arrangement BEFORE you check into the hospital and have your baby. Otherwise its about $25K. Hope that helps. Good luck to you.

You'd be surprised at what the gov't will give you. Contact your local health department. They are the perfect place to start. Just tell them that you just found out you're pregnant, and you need to talk to someone to see what you should do about financial assistance and insurance. They'll send you to the right spot. if u need any other help. crazycj1229@yahoo.com email me and dont hesitate! Good LUCK!

double check your policy options. Pregnacy sometimes can not be held against you as a pre existing condition. Talk to your HR person. You can work out a payment plan with a lot of OB/GYNs.

It doesn't matter how much you make, if your pregnant then you should be able to get goverment assistance. All you'll need is proof of pregnancy, pay stubs, things like that.

YOU MAY MAKE TOO MUCH FOR GOVT ASST. LIKE FOOD STAMPS OR HOUSING, BUT IF YOU ARE PREGNANT WITH NO INSURANCE THEY WILL GIVE OYU INSURANCE UP UNTIL 6 MONTHS AFTER THE BABY IS BORN. AND THEY WILL GIVE THE BABY INSURANCE FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS AFTER IT IS BORN...
