Did Darth Vader have to?

shower with that helmet on? Or did he just end up going to the dark side because he had perpetual helmet hair?

There is a scene in Star Wars where he's got his helmet off and you can see what's left of his face. Which leads me to conclude that he actually takes the helmet off to do stuff, like shower and pick his nose.

Dragon thinks Darth Vader nevar took a shower. He had to take baths cuz he couldn't get the helmet off. All the "product" he had in his hair made the helmet get stuck to his head.

Considering that Anakin Skywalker turned to the dark side before becoming Darth Vader...I'd say that wasn't the reason....As far as showering with the helmet on....I'd say that they had to have had some kind of technology that they didn't have to get wet to get clean....

He took the helmet off in the shower, but the soap he used turned out to be a mixture of bleach and ammonia...poor Darth...

That suit didn't look like it would come off, so without the helmet it would fill up with water.

I doubt that he would need the helmet on. I would think that he would a special room like his meditation chamber in Empire in which he could breathe without it.

He took it off. If I remember correctly, they had one scene where he was putting it on and you could see the back of his disfigured head. That was the first glimpse we got of Vader.
