For those who have said no, I would simply ask them if the violence would be taking place had we not invaded. If the answer to that question is no then how can anyone claim that the US has no responsibility for what is happening now?

Absolutely. No doubt about it. Before the invasion, there were no terrorists in Iraq. There was no sectarian violence. People could wander whereever they wanted without fear of getting killed. In 3 years into invasion and they end up with a couple of hundred thousand dead bodies. If not we, who else is responsible ?

Straight Answer: Yes, we are.

Slight Expansion: Americans and our minions are doing the killing, not Saddam and his minions. Therefore, we bear the direct moral responsibility for the death, maiming, torture, and general disaster that is Iraq.

Coming from a conservative point of view............................I would say it is our responsibility 25-50%. I support our president 150% but I believe that he was given the wrong info (if that makes sense). I don't blame Iraq solely on him or anyone else for that matter because I think the intelligence was wrong. Regardless of wether or not we found WMD's I personally feel safer knowing that there is one less nut on the loose (Saddam). And, I still believe that it's possible that there were or are WMD's. I mean there are a million hiding places (wether you are democrat or republican....you have to admit that). The rest is all on Saddam and those freak terrorists over there. Our soldiers are not killing innocent people. Those people over their are killing them with their road side bombs, ect.
