Is it true that if a woman has sex close to her period it can actually help her start her period and lower the intensity of her cramps? I thought I read this a while back. Now I am not asking about people who haven't had a period yet, or who are irregular just the "normal
" group.

Many times a day or so before my period would start I would have sex and it would come on within hours. The cramps are the same for me. I have really bad ones.

It doesn't do anything to me. I can have sex the night before I'm supposed to start my period and it will not start until the next day. I guess it varies depending on the individual.

It brings down my period and helps with my cramps.

well....it could help a little bit....I don't get that much cramps when I have sex before my period.sometimes I even forget about cramps....but each body works different...and everyone have different experiences.....

NOPE. HAVING SEX HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR MENSTRUAL CYCLE! ITS A MYTH...AND FOR SOME REASON WOMEN LIKE TO MAKE THESE STORIES UP TO MAKE THEMSELVES FEEL BETTER OR SOMETHING. IF YOU HAVE SEX AND YOUR PERIOD STARTS...ITS PURE COINCIDENCE.
