On the news in europe there is sometimes reports of neo nazism (scum) taking root in countries where you wouldnt expect to find it such as eastern europe , italy , spain , greece etc.

my question is WHY ?

the nazis did not think eastern europeans , italians or spanish etc were fit to join the ranks of national socialism as they were not really white.

only nordics (northern europeans) were considered pure white thats why you had british , dutch , wedish etc. legions of the ss.

the russians and eastern europeans were despised as subhuman subserviant under race. while the italians and spanish were considered mixed race (not pure white) though they were allies.

why are people so ignorant that they belive in something as ridiculous and offensive as national socialism

The answer to that is......people are stupid. They've all be brainwashed by the progaganda and if they bothered to research the history of the Nazi's they would probably realize what a buch of ******* they were and wouldnt have joined in the first place. My guess is that they joined up because they're racist and like to hang out with their racist buddies.

Well, that's not exactly true. It was less about the 'Nordics' and more about the Aryan races who are the descendants of the original people who spoke the Indo-European languages. It would include Italians, Greeks, Celts, Germans, Albanians, Armenians, Iranians, Slavs and others. The Nordic look was considered the 'best' but not the only one. Today, Neo-Nazis are into being Aryan so any 'Aryan' is OK. The German Nazis had a whole hierarchy where Proto-Germanic people were the 'best of the best' (that goes along with the nationalism thing) and they held the Nordic people on a pedestal as the physical ideal but all Aryans were 'good'. Proto-Germanic descended from Proto-Indo-European anyway. The people in Spain do have Proto-Indo-European roots so they can be considered Aryan but there has been a lot of 'ethnic mixing' over the years. It's ridiculous, but the people/countries you listed are considered 'Aryan'.

The whole thing is so stupid since we're all related anyway!!

*Uh, it's not a myth to to the the racists and that's who you're talking about! The history of language is not a myth and the idea of 'being Aryan' comes from grouping people by language origin. You're asking a logical question about a group of illogical people. There's no easy answer!

I agree, one should be aware of the facts:

Party composition
General membership
The general membership of the Nazi Party, known as the Parteimitglieder, mainly consisted of the urban and rural lower middle classes. 7% belonged to the upper class, another 7% were peasants, 35% were industrial workers and 51% were what can be described as middle class. The largest occupational group were medical doctors.
When it came to power in 1933 the Nazi Party had over 2 million members. Once in power, it attracted many more members and by the time of its dissolution it had 8.5 million members. Many of these were nominal members who joined for careerist reasons, but the party nevertheless had an active membership of at least a million, including virtually all the holders of senior positions in the national government.
Military membership
Nazi members with military ambitions were encouraged to join the Waffen SS, but a great number enlisted in the Wehrmacht and even more were drafted for service after World War II began. Early regulations required that all Wehrmacht members be non-political, and therefore any Nazi member joining in the 1930s was required to resign from the Nazi Party.
This regulation was soon waived, however, and there is ample evidence that full Nazi Party members served in the Wehrmacht in particular after the outbreak of World War II. The Wehrmacht Reserves also saw a high number of senior Nazis enlisting, with such figures as Reinhard Heydrich and Fritz Todt joining the Luftwaffe, as well as Karl Hanke who served in the Army.
Paramilitary groups
In addition to the NSDAP proper, several paramilitary groups existed which "supported" Nazi aims. All such members of these paramilitary organizations were required to become regular Nazi Party members first, and could then enlist in the group of their choice. A vast system of Nazi party paramilitary ranks developed for each of the various paramilitary groups.
The major Nazi Party paramilitary groups were as follows:
•Schutzstaffel (SS): Protection Service
•Sturmabteilung (SA): Storm Troopers
•Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps (NSFK): National Socialist Flyers Corps
•Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrerkorps (NSKK): National Socialist Motor Corps
The Hitler Youth was a paramilitary group divided into an adult leadership corps and a general membership open to boys aged fourteen to eighteen.

This doesn’t even count the approximately 20,000 mideast members who were run by Sadam Husain’s uncle.
