Well for you....keep the fever down! A fever could harm the baby, and you wouldn't want that. A cold is hard, just try a humidifier and some chicken soup. Most cold medicines are not safe during pregnancy. I am sorry about your situation. If you are on public assistance, most provide transportation services too and from apps, which might help. Also, a salvation army or something might beable to get you some warmer coats, hats and things.
For your sister, I think she should ask another doctor. If the baby is growing, then something is alive in there. There may be a major heart defect which is stopping the techs from hearing it, but some cases can actually be corrected in the womb still, so it's best to try.
Good Luck to the both of you and God Bless!!

This answer is not meant to belittle you or your sister or put you down. But-PLEASE you and your sister get some counseling so your ignorance does not breed more ignorance. Saying you are ignorant is NOT an insult either, it just points to the fact that you both have very low self-esteem and either no or poor guidance. There is a saying that is unfortunately true-ignorance breeds ignorance. If you would like to have a better quality life and give your child(ren) a fighting chance, either move to a home for unwed mothers so you get the counseling you need or email me. I am a birth- mom-mentor on the weekends because I gave up a child for adoption and I can refer you to a very good agency. If your sis has had a miscarriage, then she will have to have a D & C, as an abortion refers to the termination of a viable fetus. Good luck to you both. Please be unselfish and think about what I have said.

Your baby should be fine. Make sure your temperature doesn't go too high for too long. The walking is good for you anyway and it should start warming soon, hopefully. If you can try drinking some cinnamon tea with honey in it. It should help with the cold and give you some calories for the baby.
I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy the rest of the time.
As for your sister's question. If she wishes to carry the child full term, it is her right and her decision. Make sure she understands that there IS a possibility that when the baby is born it may not be alive.
To you both, Good luck!

I am also 16 weeks (nearly 17) and I am not sick in the mornings anymore, I'm just not interested in food until about 10 AM. It's fine. You'll be fine as long as you can eat later in the day. This is my second pregnancy - with my son I only gained 6 lbs. because I was sick the entire 9 months and he was completely healthy and weighed 8 lbs. 6 oz. The baby will take what she needs from you. What's your due date? I'm due 7/14! Good luck with the rest of yours and wishes for a healthy baby!

If your sister's doctor doesn't hear a heartbeat, and is not doing any other tests to find out if your sister's baby is still alive, then she needs to go to another doctor. She CANNOT go another 4 months if her baby is dead- something needs to be done NOW.

YOUR BABY CANNOT GET HURT FROM YOU HAVING A COLD. IF THE DOCTOR SAYS YOU ARE FINE, THEN YOU PROBABLY ARE. SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE GETTING SICK. AS FOR YOUR SISTER. IF THEY HAVE DONE AN ULTRASOUND AND SEE NO HEARTBEAT, THE BABY IS PROBABLY NOT ALIVE. YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO SEE A BEATING HEART IN THE ULTRASOUND. IT WOULD NOT BE AN ABORTION IF THE BABY IS NOT ALIVE. IF SHE DOES NOT BELIEVE THEM SHE SHOUDL GET A SECOND OPINION. WHAT DOES YOUR MOM SAY?

What's up with your family?!
With regard to you, if doctor says you're fine, you probably are.
cold is nothing.
Your sister should listen to the doctors. I'm against abortions but if pregnancy threatens her life, it's wrong not to do it.
And when you touch her belly and feel movement, it can just be gas.

if your doctor says there is nothing to worry about then don't worry. for the second question, if the baby is growing I wouldn't see that there would be anything wrong. I would get a second opinion.

Now this is what I call "young sluts" ... You guys are having your kids too young.......thats sad. The reason they dont hear a heartbeat is cuz you sister is only 14 and I mean she isnt even fully developed yet herself!.... Not enough room in her body for the baby to move around ....... thats what happens when you dont wait till the right time to have a kid, stuff happens. The baby could be a miscarriage as well.....so either way she will be saddened.
Not trying to rag on you or her or anything........
but good luck with it.
