when i started using my birth control i gained about 15 pounds and ive tried so hard to get it off. do you think that if i stopped the birth control it would make the weight loss easier?

well ive been on it for about two years and most of the weight gain was through the first year. i havent changed my diet or activities much, just small little changes here and there. i am still active and i try and eat as best as i can (most of the time)

i am not the kind of person that can take pills every day and i cant have shots either so i use the ring. its the best thing i can find for myself...the patch does not interest me so switching forms does not seem likely. i dont really have a need for the birth control right now either, im mainly using it to stay regular.

The birth control itself does not make you gain weight, but it does increase your appetite, so if you eat more than you exercise, or eat bad food, then you'll gain weight whether you are on hormonal birth control or not. Stopping the birth control might reduce your appetite, so you don't eat as much, but if you eat better food when you are on the birth control then you can still lose weight.

A healthy rate is 1-3lbs a week, but if you steam vegtables and eat negative calorie foods like carrots, celery, mango and papaya as snacks will help, negative calorie foods take more energy to burn then what is in them or calories in them.
Also if you want to diet DETOX your body models do it why? You body can hold up to 20lbs of excess weight in the colon, it can be cleared out in a week with a good detox and you probally only have to detox once a year too.
