My friends are arguing who is a better drummer... frank zappa's drummer or buddy rich. who is more talented?

Terry Bozio was Frank Zappa's drummer, and Missing Persons drummer. He is one of the best. But Buddy Rich was the best of the best.

Here's a way to answer that question. If you don't know the name of the drummer, then he's not that great. Great drummers, no matter who they play with, are well known names. Buddy Rich was incredibly talented, and every drummer should know his name.

Buddy Rich hands down.
Even Gene Krupa is a better drummer than Zappas.
Buddy Rich at his prime was the equivalent of the messiah on drums.
