I have been goth for FIVE WHOLE YEARS but I do have an urge to be with my old friends, but they won't accept me if i'm goth, and i know that makes them seem like bad people but they really arent

If your so-called friends won't accept you for who you are, then they are not your friends. True friends wouldn't do that to you. Please don't conform to their ideals, just be yourself. I think you need to find other people to hang out with that are less close-minded.

I don't know that there's much you can do about it. If you stop being goth, they STILL might not accept you, so you might as well keep doing what you're doing, and try to be nice to them.
Call them up at home- when the others are not there, one or two of them might come around. My suspicion is that individually, they might miss you, too, but there's this whole tribal groupthink going on. Since you're not part of the group, each individual, even if they want you around, will be afraid to be the first to say so. You probably won't ever be a part of the group anymore no matter what you do, but you might be able to salvage individual friendships.

Then they're not really your friends. Unless you all of a sudden went Goth 5 years ago because of some reason, other than yours. Ask yourself, "Why are you Goth?" If it's because it's something that YOU wanted to do, then lose those so-called friends. If it's because of some outside reason, then maybe you're not their friend and you need to come back to reality. Don't immediately think it's them. It might be you...so check yourself. And be YOU!

You're not Goth. They were wiped off the map a long time ago. Do you even know what Goth is? Really? It was an Eastern European Germanic tribe that inhabited the now Romania area. They are known for their architecture and becoming very catholic after continuous run ins with the Romans. (Hence, the current name.) Their flag was Orange with black cross.

why can't ya'll accept each other where you are. Being goth doesn't change the real you , am I correct? So if they don't accept they'll never accept you. If a person has to change who they are to fit in a circle, that's just it they don't fit. And shouldn't want to.

you should tell your Friends what it means to be goth. If you're goth you don't always seem weird if you explain what you're all about. Take it from me, Goth gurl galore

Show by your actions that you're just like them, a normal person who just made different choices. If they can't accept you as you, then perhaps you shouldn't be too concerned about hanging out with them.

Ok I know they are not bad people and all they probably need to get used to it. Go and talk to them, and ask them if they can please be your friend. I mean tell them your not a bad person and that this is the way you are and they need to accept it, and if they cant, just ask them to give you a chance and they'll notice it is just you.

dont change yourself for anyone, if they cant accept you for who you are , they're idiots, they may be jealous that you've found a way to express yourself and are happy with yourself. i'm a goth/emo and none of my friends are yet they accept me for who i am
