We are seen in a number of ways: How others see us, how we think others see us, how we see our selves, how we think we see our selves and how we really are. Shakespeare talks about the seven ages of man and our awareness of self begins even before our memories start. My first awareness of my face was the mirror looking at me at three. I saw myself as I saw the things around me. I saw the things as an imperfect world and I saw my face as imperfect. When older I gazed into a spoon and I saw that my face was distorted and I did not like my face as well as I did before. It was always easier to like my face through good photos rather than the mirror.
As I matured I liked my face more and more through my prime. As I aged into my forties and my skin lost its elasticity I began a down hill decline. Now in my late fifties and gravity pulls my features and chin down I wish for the first time I had a different face. In the beginning my face was about a seven. In the middle years it was an eight. At the beginning of the end it is now a six. This is only how I see myself.

I've seen better...mine is lopsided and a bit too round but otherwise it has strong features and is in proportion. I would give it an 8.
