She started another series with a character much like Stephanie named Alexandra "Barney" Barnaby. Two books so far called Metro Girl and Motor Mouth respectively.

While not the consistent humour that you will find in the Stephanie Plum series, you may also like the alphabet series by Sue Grafton starring the character Kinsey Millhone.

As well, you could try a British writer named Sarah Lacey that has a character named Leah Hunt who is an amateur sleuth getting into trouble.

I love the Stephanie Plum books! Have you read the Shopaholic series? It's not quite the same humor (there aren't any exploding cars, for example) but it is still hilarious. All of Janet Evanovich's earlier romances are similar humor without the bounty hunter stuff. they are kind of a series, but you can read them out of order and not be completley confused (i think they're full tilt, full scoop, etc. i just don't know the order)

If you're in for the humor, try MaryJanice Davidson's Undead and.... series or also her Royal series. Another one to try is Michele Bardsley's I'm the Vampire That's Why. Also, try Charlaine Harris. She has a few series that, while they don't have the constant humor that the Plum books do, they are also good. Her main series currently is the Sookie Stackhouse series. (Also known as the Southern Vampire series) You can also try Dianne Mott Davidson, Linda Barnes and Edna Buchannan.

The ones that have vampires are good books. These aren't Anne Rice type vampires. They are modern, down to earth. Good reads!
