Just leave the hot one switched off check that it is dry . Then connect the cold water .Some washing machines are only cold fill , this saves your hot water as it only heats up what it needs therefore saves you money A little bit like a shower.hope this helps

If the Hot water feed has a valve just turn it off. If not it depends on what type of pipe it is. If metal (3/4" I would think) go to hardware store and ask for a 3/4" pipe cap, apply pipe sealer and screw on tight with pipe wrench. If PVC go to store and get proper size pvc pipe cap and glue and glue it on. If copper you will have to soder it on which sometimes gets a little complicated. Or call a plumber

sure it would want to. you may purchase a Y or T adapter. Dont sparkling off the nice and comfortable feed and grant in consumer-friendly words from chilly as many machines will initially fill from warm feed in case you pick a extreme temp wash. If the water coming from the "warm" feed is chilly then the device basically heats it. someone right here has stated the dishwasher needs a warm feed. In uk they def do no longer.

Don't worry that your new machine is only cold fill, most new ones are these days. They reckon its cheaper to heat the water in the machine rather than draw it of your boiler and heat again.Just leave your hot valve closed, its probably going to be behind the machine out of reach anyway.

Sorry, I'm not understanding your plumbing connections. I have two separate valves, one for each hose, hot and cold. I would only have to turn off the hot water valve was there wouldn't be a line for it.
You must have a strange hookup......if it is a threaded pipe, they make plugs that screw into it the threaded pipe.

There should be seperate water spigots for the hot and cold water. Simply attach the cold water only and turn that faucet on, leave the hot water side turned off. Since it should be off already in order to remove the old washer

Go to your ironmonger and purchase a 22mm. blank (internal thread) and screw it on the tap for the hot water pipe.
