Spray some WD-40 on the spot and scrape it with a razor blade.

If the counter is granite, then it will be so hard that you don't have to be too worried about scratching and it should be impervious to acetone (nail polish remover) as well so using the acetone and razor blade method should work really well. Use a scraper tool designed to hold a razor blade - it's safer and you get better leverage than trying to use a razor blade by itself.

ok be careful with the acetone (nail polish remover) and razor there. Most granite surfaces are not one piece and have joints that are filled and sealed. acetone can remove the sealant protecting this joint. there is a natural product called tea tree oil that you can find at almost any pharmacy section of your local store or (your favorite name)mart. I like to think of this as natures goof off. its also a great antifungle.

Hope this helps.

I agree with acetone and razor blade method. If you don''t happen to have a can of acetone use nail polish remover.

be really careful.i would use a little bit of nailpolish remover ,it gets superglue of your hands and skin, the reason i say to becareful is i would be fore you begin, use a little patch of unit that is not visible to the eye ,ie ....before you use it make sure it will not bleach the surface ,so use a corner that is not noticable ,them if it does not bleach carry on ,goo dluck ,using a razor is a bad idea as you will only scratch the surface of the unit !!
good luck !

Try a little acetone on it to help soften it up, then CAREFULLY you can use a razorblade and try to either pry it up or get under it and scrape it up. Just be very slow and deliberate and don't use the edge otherwise you could scratch the countertop. good luck.
