I have an assignment where I have to use a readability formula and to be honest I was never good at math or problem solving equations. Can some one dumb the process down for me, so I can unserstand how to do it. Also it understand it better in general. Any and all info on this is appreciated......

There are two popular readability formulas you can use: the Flesch Reading Ease and the Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level. The formulas are provided in the length below, but the gist is that you count up the number of syllables, words, and sentences in your document.

Then, you take those numbers and plug them into the provided formulas. The formulas aren't complex - they only use addition/subtraction and multiplication/division. However, you will be using decimals, so if you can use a calculator, I'd do that.
