K now this story is long, but I have this Douch bag couple upstiars who have been making mine and my roomates life a living hell. They make horrible noises at 10 or 11 cause they can see out light off, and they have tried to get us kicked out a few times. Until she realized that I was in Real Estate, and I knew my rights. K now I know I could take it up with my lanlord but I really do not want to. I want to know How can I get back at them WHAT CAN i DO THAT WILL TOTALLY PISS THEM OFF, BUT NOT GET ME KICKED OUT. THEY ARE MAKING MY LIFE HELL. They live on top of me so let me know! Lets also keep in mind all this has started since I moved in I DO NOT PARTY, DO NOT HAVE PEOPLE OVER. This is due to me chatting with her 45 yr old BOYFRIEND and she came down like a friggin rocket giving me nasty glares and now she has made my life compleltly uncomfortable. Basically it is because we are younger and she is threatend. Hoenstly I could hit on her bf but he is a loser, & I am not going to do that

Bologna on her car. When it heats up, it takes off the paint. Plus its random. Bake cookies and send them over. Be so nice that it utterly pisses her off. If that doesn't work try the bologna. . .

Get a recorder and record the noise you are having to live with. Make copies of it. Send a copy of it to the owners of the complex you live in along with a note that if they can't get the people to be quieter during the normal "quiet times" - you will be forced to seek help from the courts. Send a copy to your lawyer and to the police. Get a copy of your lease and see what recourse you have for this problem and do what it says to do. You could also play back the noise to them when they are quiet. After all - turn about is fair play???? If you still don't get relief - take them to court. Be prepared to move though. You may have to - and possibly get the cost of moving in your judgement against the owner of the property. Perhaps you could win the property and become the owners - then evict them. Do you have a news program in your area that does investigation and puts it on the news? Have them to come to your home quietly - without the big trucks and cameras - and "visit" you. Let them hear what you are having to deal with and they can put it on the air. They may even go to the neighbor and confront them - and have that on the air too. Wouldn't that be something to see? Tell your whole city what lousy neighbors they are and what lousy apartment managers you have to deal with. You can get their address - because you already know it. Do a reverse address look up and get their name. You could get their phone number that way too. If your city has the requirement of an occupancy permit before you can live there - then you can go to your City Hall and get the names of the people in that apartment. You could post flyers all over the area then - telling people how noisy they are.

Well my roomies and I pissed off my neighbors downstairs and they went down to our water heater and turned it off, I wasnt home for a few days...but this REALLY pissed of my roomates b/c we had no hot water and it was freezing out and we had to go to our friends houses to take showers. Once I got home and heard the story, my super detective intuition took hold and I realized the problem and turned it back on, so its no harm done to your neighbor...but they will definatly be pissed if they wake up in the morning and have no hot water. Plus once they call the landlord it could take a few days for a plumber to come only to realize the dial just has to be turned. Not only does the neighbor get pissed but so does the landlord at your neighbor b/c they had to pay for a plumber to come there to turn a knob!

I remember when our neighbours upstairs use to keep lots of noise that annoy the hell out of us.me,my sis ans bro would take a mop stick and hit the ceiling from below and annoy the sh*it out of them,untill they started complaining.when ever they made noise we did even more until they quite down.
you can always complain to the lanlord.

You may want to take this to mediation if talking to her/him doesn't work. Now, remember, keeping civil will work in your favor and you may just want to have a witness, just in case.
Keep a log of all the times the neighbors upstairs are disturbing and or a video camera documenting the issue with them making the disturbance in the background.

Instead of hitting on her boyfriend why not try hitting on her and REALLY throw her off her game. There is the chance she'd be interested however...

Try to talk to the persons again in a calm cool manner. Tell her to imagine the same situation when she is replaced by you. Ask her to help and cooperate. This will improve the situation.
