It's just a clot - and perfectly normal.
This is what happens : Blood is pushed out of your uterus when the uterus contracts You don't always feel these, but when they are strong, you have cramps. The uterus releases "anti-coagulants" when you have your period, and these are supposed to keep the blood from clotting up as it passes from the uterus to the vagina.
But if you have days of heavy cramps and heavy bleeding, you may pass dark, chunky clots of blood. On days when the contractions are so strong that the blood gets pushed out before the anti-coagulants have time to take effect, blood clots form. So, you can pass big chunky clots at any time during your period.
Not fun, but perfectly normal.
BTW - the pull-out method does NOT work, since the tiniest little drop of seman can cause pregnancy. Check with your doctor, and get a more reliable form of birth control.
I hope you feel better.....

Im so sorry but the pull out method DOES NOT work. take it from my friend, who uses that as the only form of birth control and has 6 kids. Anyway, honestly, I think you may have had a miscarriage. I know people think your suppose to get all this pain when you miscarry but sometimes it is not painful. Was your period normal? If it wasn't, then maybe it wasnt your period at all and just your body miscarry the baby. You need to go to the OBGYN asap. If you did have a miscarriage, you need to be checked out to make sure nothign was left in your body. If you didn't have a miscarriage you still need to be checked because that is not normal and you could have something seriously wrong. Good Luck.

First of all, grow up and get on some real birth control if you do not want a child. There are millions of people running around the world as a result of this "non" form of birth control. If your boyfriend and you think that you are mature enough to have sex, re-think that until you can afford/be responsible enough to NOT have an unwanted pregnancy. You will probably never know what it was that "came out" but it could be a miscarriage or a sexually transmitted disease (yes, that is a symptom). Better get checked!

You don't describe "large" thouroughly enough. however, it is not uncommon for women to pass blood clots and/or large pieces of the uterine lining while on your period. When bleeding is heavy or brisk, the clot within the uterus may come out before it has dissolved. There may be less tissue fluid and endometrial components in the menstrual discharge. If you think it was too large to be either of those or really think you could have been pregnant, you should see a doctor. you will need special care in that situation.

it was more then likely a blood clot. it is very common to have them on your period. what color was it? if it was a misscarriage - you would without a doubt know it. it is very painfull!!! i have had three myself and it is accompanied with cramping and a lot of pain. if you feel fine then i am sure it was just a clot. no worries. But if you have more or your period doesn't stop then see a doctor.
Also- by the way- the "pullout method" is the way that most kids are concieved these days. that is the worst form of birth control to have. please concider condoms or the pill.

it was probably a blod clot or pieces of your uterine lining...this is normal. your body builds up the lining each month and sheds it...or at least it should. if you have irregular periods, you might shed heavier sometimes because the lining might not be shedding every month. this is when the doctors sometimes want to do a d and c to scrape out the extra lining build up. but just so you know, the pull out method is useless for pregnancy prevention. if you don't want to get pregnant, get some real birth control. sounds like you need to talk to your gyn anyway to check things out.

Sounds like a large blood clot. During your period...that is what the uterus is doing is shedding its lining. Sometimes it comes out in little clumps. The pull out method is not a good form of birth control and pre-ejaculate contains sperm. You may want to think about another form of birth control.

Why do people think the pull out method will actually prevent pregnancy? If it was truely big then you might have had a miscarriage...very early stage when the fetus is no bigger then a blood clot.
Use protection. The penis tends to drip during sex and one drop has a million sperms swimming and ready to go.

If your not in pain then your period is on time and it's a regular period then chances are it was a blood clot glob. From your uterus shedding itself that does happen sometimes there huge. But if it happens to often or you soak more then one pad in an hour i would seek medical attention. Especially if you have pain.
So proably from what you described it sounds normal Welcome to women hood dear!

Sound like a blood clot. They can be pretty big & scary. Also the pull-out method is NOT a method of birth control or safe sex. If you don't want to be pregnant don't have sex. Or get a real form of birth control...the pill or condoms etc.
