Maybe its not what you wear but your attitude.
Try being more open and approachable.

You look bad in all other colors!?
I used to teach in a high school and my experience was that no matter how the student dressed a happy and outgoing manner would win over people within a week or two. Conversely a sullen, frowning, demeanor guaranteed that fellow students would start to avoid the "new person" no matter how they dressed. Try raising your hand and answering a few questions in class or asking a few so that your fellow students and teachers can get a picture of what you're really all about. This will allow them to connect with you.
Of course there is always the standard "join a few clubs you're interested in" answer but that could take forever and I would start with the talking in class bit!
Good Luck

Woo hoo. Individuality is great. But remember the saying
"A truly wise man adapts to fit the world around him".
You get where I'm going? Go ahead and wear black, but I think that you know as well as I do that the average person isn't going to be too thrilled at a hunk of metal sticking out of your mouth.
I'm not saying blend in and be boring, but if you truly want to be generally accepted (and I don't see why anyone wouldn't because it just makes life a lot less difficult) then try to tone down the goth look a little bit.
A lot of black will intimidate people. You know that. It's up to you whether you want to be judged badly or not.

honestly i'll freak out too if i always saw u in black with a lip ring but maybe you don't really look bad in other colours it might be the way you see yourself bcos i used to dress only in blacks and whites(not with any ring) i liked it that way but i found out i could be ok wearing other coloursand actually feel beautiful and people liked it so try it.u should try with dim colours first b4 using bright ones that way it won't be as hard as using bright from the start u'll be ok and i'm sure you'll get noticed.some people might be nasty others about it but i think others will appreciate it tho not everyone will mention it bcos they wouldn't want you to feel bad but you might want to also check your attitude it will go a long to determine the way people react to you,if you are too timid or too agressive people will be nasty to you so just be calm and do your thing i'm sure you'll look just as fine in other colours as you do in black maybe a little different but certainly beautiful have fun

uhh....take the lip ring out and make the other colors work.....it is kind of weird. It makes people feel as if you are mean and unapproachable, because black represents that...scary. Lighter colors give people better feelings. Try blue and green...: )They work with everyone! I would reccomend polos, simply because everyone likes a good old fashion polo!
I hope I helped!

if there is one thing i hate it's jugers- u can do what ever u want- this is america people! so go with the black go for the lip ring but remember that how you look is how people get their first impression of you so be careful and don't blame the judgers- they're only human, as humans it's our natural instinct so go out there and have fun wearing what you feel comforatable in but remember that they will have thoughts rather it's against you or for

Well, basically what you wear gives you a label. If you want a better one you know what you have to do. I mean, as long as you don't wear like black nail polish, black makeup, and have black hair, no one should consider you "Gothic", which is a good thing, otherwise life would be even harder than it already is.

i dress in mostly shades of black and gray as well but have no problems with it...as long your clothes are clean and more on the fashionable side, wearing all black is perfectly fine...although you might want to throw in just a small bit of color for contrast every so often

it's all about your attitude!!! It's not what color you wear or that you have a lip ring. If some people base their opinions on your appereance then i say f*ck 'em, they're too shallow to know the real you.

hm... uh... move to antarctica?
try wearing something drastically different and maybe people will look at you and comment that you look... different. Polka dots make girls like me look at boys. Ive never seen a guy wear polka dots.
