If you've been pregnant before, an IUD is a good option (the ones with hormones can even make your period and cramps lighter.) If you've never been pregnant, you can use the patch, the nuva-ring (this goes in your vagina and you have to insert it yourself), (both changed weekly), depo-provera (injections every three months) or traditional items such as diaphragms/sponges (much less effective). You can also try the rhythm method (aka vatican roulette) which can be surprisingly effective when followed, er, religiously. :)
Keep in mind that condoms are the only thing that protect you from STD's!!!!!

I really was terrible when it came to taking the birth control pill.I could never remember to take it at the same time every day and so on.
I tried many things I used a diaphram for a cpl of years and liked it...
But as I got older I started to use whats called VCF you can get it at any WalMart of WalGreens store. It works well....
Here's a website that tells you about it:)
Hope This Helps,

There are so many options out there. The depo shot, the patch, nuvo ring, and my favorite the I.U.D.
