I will just translate first the question. It stated that " Good day! I am Maruchi. I am a Japanese student. How are you?
You can answer: Konbanwa! Genki desu! Watashi wa (your name + desu) . Genki desu ka? means Good day too!I'm fine. My name is ____. How are you?
Its a simple conversation. You just express it by smiling. You know japanese people are very friendly. They are not much particular for your good grammar. Actually they are happy to hear that your trying to speak their language. And its enough to them!Just remember that they are much interested to your good heart.
Good luck!!!

What you have written is good, but you should delete the "san" from Maruchin. "San" is used as an honorific and would never be used to introduce oneself. Instead, a better way to write the greeting would be, "konbanwa. watashi wa maruchin desu. nihongo wo benkyo shiteimasu. Hajimemashite."
Translated: Good evening. My name is Maruchin. I'm studying Japanese. Nice to meet you.
To answer, you would introduce yourself, "Konbanwa, ____desu. Hajimemashite.

Well I guess it depends on what you wanna say.
Looks like you've already got some good info.
If you're interested in what this person does for a living you can ask,
Formal way is:
"Konbanwa, watashi no namae wa haradatwin11 desu. Oshigoto wa nani sareteru kata desu ka?"
Informal way is:
"Konbanwa, watashi no namae wa haradatwin11 desu. Oshigoto wa nani shiteru hito?"
Or if you want to just say "I'm studying Japanese too!"
Formal way:
"Watashi mo nihongo no benkyou shiteimasu."
Informal way :
"Watashi mo nihongo no benkyou shiteruyo!"

Lucky for you, I just learned some of that... I can't tell you perfectly, as it looks out of order from "good" Japanese.
Tanslation:
"Good Evening. I am Maruchin-san, I am Japanese. How are you?"
That' may be a bit off, but not by much.
You should answer:"Arigatou. Watashi no namae wa ___ desu. Genki desu."
In the space, say your name. This reply translates to:
"Thank you. My name is __. I'm fine, thanks."
How this helped!

Well one answer could be : Konbanwa! Watashi no namae wa desu. Okage sama de, genki desu. Ogenki desu ka?
Now what the question means is: Konbanwa. Watashi wa maruchin-san desu. Nihongo no gakusei desu. Ogenki desu ka?
Your reply would mean: Konbanwa. Watashi no namae wa san desu. Okage sama de genki desu. Ogenki desu ka?
Hope this helps ^-^. P.S. If you just met this person you might want to say, "Hajimemashite doozo yoroshiku" which means nice to meet you for the first time.

sailorblue is wrong. you never add "san" to your own name. its a way to honor another person and it is rude and arrogant to add it to your own name. however, since you're just learning japanese, i doubt anyone will care.

If you're trying to learn Japanese, shouldn't you try and figure it out yourself?
