THANKS YOU GUYS
i brought it to a friend of my moms she works at a wild life center and has a permit to keep animals at her house.
she said they were just in shock .
and i checked for nexts around my house and i couldnt find one.
let me remind you my dog got out of the backyard and brought them home.
so they could be anywhere in the neighborhood.
i will give her a call tomorow to see how they are doing.

I am sorry to say that less than 1% of baby bunnies that are taken into the house survive. Look for a nest outside. Rabbits like to put them in clear view. Look near the tree line or under a bush. It should be what looks like a bunch of straw matted down in the middle. There may be some bunny hair around it as well.

Try to get the bunny back in the nest. And watch the dog, now that he has the scent he will try and get it again.

You can try to keep it but it will more than likely not survive.

Im sorry to say, the rabbit is most likey in shock and/or hypothermic. If your dog had it in it's mouth, it may also have internal bleeding. I would take it to the pound and tell them it should be put to sleep. It has very very small chance of surviving on its own and once a human touches a wild mammal mommy will desert or worse, kill the baby. She automatically thinks the baby is in danger and would rather kill it than have it hunted. Sorry, not much you can do at this point.

If he is really really cold to the touch, he might be hypothermic. If this is the case, warm up towels and wrap them around the bunny until it warms up. The rabbit may have gotten some water in it's lungs as well and so I would call the vet to see if there might be something that you could do for the water in it's lungs.

Wild rabbits don't handle being cared for by people well. I would place him/her in a safe location (but near the area you think it came from), there's a good chance it's mother is nearby or it's on it's own. Unless it's hurt...in that case do a search for a wildlife rehabber. Good luck!

Search:

call the local wildlife center, and see if they will take it. otherwise you could maybe see what the vet has to say?? If the rabbits nest is in your backyard, maybe you could move it to a new place so it will be safe from your dog! good luck

I had a wild rabbit baby and I let it stay with me for a while, fed it and let it go and it was fine I'm sure. Take it to the vet, that would be my best guess.

dry it with a towel & then put on gloves, do not handle with bare hands!! pull some grass and leaves & rub it down & take it back to the area your dog found it in and release it. Mama rabbit might not take it back if it smells like you! Otherwise check with a vet in your area for wild animal rescue & get it to pros for care & rehab to the wild. please don't try to make it a pet!

not.. an animal control, plz! they kill them! ask a vet or someone who knows about this, whatever you do, dont resort to killing, its a baby. wrap a warm cloth around it, offer it good food like fruit (keep in mind rabbits are herbivores, they dont eat meat and certainly no junk food or human food at all (look around anything you dont find immediately in natural environment, DONT feed) try milk even, in a bottle cap, be patient its a baby, and call a vet. plz, god would want it to live.
