Paris: Happily met, my lady and my wife!
Juliet: That may be, sir, when I may be a wife.
Paris: That "may be" must be, love, on Thursday next.
Juliet: What must be shall be.
Friar: That's a certain text.
Paris: Come you to make confession to this father?
Juliet: To answer that, I should confess to you.
Paris: Do not deny to him that you love me.
Juliet: I will confess to you that I love him.
Paris: So will ye, I am sure, that you love me.
Juliet: If I do so, it will be of more price, being spoke behind your back, than to your face.
Paris: Poor soul, thy face is much abused with tears.
Juliet: The tears have got small victory by that, for it was bad enough before their spite.
Paris: Thou wrong'st it more than tears with that report.
Juliet: That is no slander, sir, which is truth; And what I spoke, I spoke it to my face.
Paris: Thy face is mine, and thou hast sland'red it.

Basically, Paris is asking Juliet to marry him. I just need a song that could go along with the scene or relate to it.

Thanks!

The only one I can think of is "Nothing Better" by The Postal Service.

I think a good choice would be any song in which a girl is singing about having a secret love, or having left her boyfriend for someone else--that's basically what's going on in the scene.

I'm gonna suggest something a little more out there lol. It's called 'Concrete Girl' by Switchfoot. It's a great song. One interpretation of the lyrics is that its about a girl with strong beliefs and loves but the world is trying to tear her down. The song tells her not to give in and to stand tall in a broken world.

This could apply to Juliet because in this scene she is feeling weak and upset that Paris is going to marry her. She loves Romeo and is searching for a way to love him above the ties of her family.

Try it out lol gd luck god bless x

"The Tracks of My Tears" by Smokey Robinson. The Linda Ronstadt version might fit for Juliet.

Here is the song and the story of it.

We defended a farter in the mosque.
Hodja said spit on his face ...
Many would do it.
But we wouldnt.
It was a big big fight
in the end we won
in the end we won
Yet, we were less in number.

Yes...
It wasnt a nice thing to fart in the mosque.
But it wasnt nice to spit on a boy's face, either
In the end we won.
In the end we won.

Here is the story:

I was 12 years old and I was in the mosque with seven friends. Trying to read Kouran. One of my friends farted. And the hodja asked us to spit on his face when we go out of the mosque bec. according to him it was a shameful thing to do so in the mosque. When we finished with the lesson: four of the boys made an attempt to spit on that boy. Only me and another boy didnt like the idea and a big quarrel and fight began. The farting boy and us defeated the four spitters. Since then I havent gone to a mosque at all. Priests and hodjas are imbecile creatures. They are mammals, too .....And God is their God not mine. The kindest thing done for me was that boy's help.....
