My husband is currently going about getting a petition to take his daughters mother to court for visitation bc she has recently begun refusing to allow him to see or speak to his daughter, but is there any way we can have some government agency intervene in the meantime? Not only are we afraid that she is telling is daughter things (what if she doesn't want to go with him in the end?), she had luekemia and has no way of knowing how her health is. What can we do until we get to court?

DCFS if you believe the child is being withheld for medical reasons. Custody should have been set up in the divorce and the police can be called if she is refusing. Keep records of days and talks that she refuses.

Child protective services. They're usually located in your local Family Independance Agency (FIA). They are obligated to make a house visit at the report of any concern of abuse or neglect.

It doesn't sound like she has a project except no longer getting to college on time. (No Kindergartener must have such an excellent type of absences and tardies! it really is undesirable!) I agree that it would want to probably be in her suitable pastimes for you and your husband to intervene. good success with the custody stuff. don't be not hassle-free on your little woman, it truly is no longer her fault. As a made from a damaged homestead, i'm mushy hearted on the considered what it would want to be like for a 5 three hundred and sixty 5 days previous to appreciate what is going on consisting of her kinfolk and practise. It could be a difficult time for her. best of success to you and your doorstep daughter! p.s.- Why hasn't her mom been arrested for truancy? locate out what the regulations are on your county. satisfied you've help from the college. good success
