i cant get my k800i to talk to my pc or laptop either by usb cable or bluetooth despit saying its installed properly, ive tried turning of firewall but it doesnt help, any clever kids know an codger like me is doing wrong

Hi.
I presume that you mean the talk2phone stuff that came with it. It is pretty crap.
You must fire off the software before connecting the phone via usb.
Bluetooth does not realy work from phone to laptop - my technical guy at work says that blue tooth on laptops is for other types of devices. I find send pics via infra-red works best.

Check if the bluetooth you are using on ur Laptop has this feature or profile, HID (Human Interface Devices).
