Aztec's or Mayans???

Question

which one do you think is more civilized the maya's or the aztec's?

The Maya had their own culture. They had a calendar that was more accurate than what we use today. The Aztecs usurped the culture of earlier Indians. Although they all practiced human sacrifice, the Aztecs wallowed in it. So I would say that the Maya were more civilized.

Their civilizations were completely different from ours. You can't judge them by our standards. Both practiced human sacrifice and warred constantly on their neighbors.
However, the Maya also had a fabulous knowledge of astronomy and time (which the Aztecs only copied) and they also built many fabulous cities (the Aztecs built less--Tenochtitlan and a few others).

Mayans had the calendar, they were good in mathematics and science, but Aztec's had perfect way of population control(no, it's a joke...)check this out:

and decide, it's hard to define a level of civilisation and there is a difference between a civilization and a culture, be careful.

they both were but i would side with the aztec because of their building techniques.
