Girls or women can get pregnant at any time. It is much more unusual for a woman to get pregnant on her period but it has been known to happen. A woman's menstrual cycle last about 30 days. Yes, as far as a girl can get pregnant once she starts ovulating, normally around the age of 13-14. I'm not sure what you mean by the second half of your question. If you mean does she have to be on her period to be pregnant the obvious answer is no considering that most women wait until about in between two periods and that would be the best time for anyone to get pregnant.

No. The menstruation is the uterus cleansing away the unfertilized egg from its interior lining with a flow of blood. Thus, upon the first menstruation, one realizes that one was ALREADY fertile.

No, you have to be ovulating to get pregnant, and ovulation doesn't take place at the same time as menstration (normally). Ovulation generally takes place about two weeks before menstration occurs.
