When people only invite you to those stupid parties when they're selling something (dishes, tupperware, candles, etc.)? My feeling is if they can't invite me when I don't have to spend money then I'm not going. And forgot the, "Oh you don't have to buy anything" line they give you. Yes, yes you do! =p

Yeah that is pretty tacky. And then you feel bad if you are the only one who seriously doesnt want to spend $80 on some knives you already have at home. Stupid parties.... and its always women hosting them.... IF hot men had those parties.. I'd go and spend all my money!

I had a "friend" that always pushed for me to come to one of her "parties". Didn't matter that I was a broke, single mother of two. What a good friend, huh?

No no you don't have to buy anything...but I hate them too...so I really irritate the invitee by...I saying yes then not showing up...do that once or twice and they quit asking.
