Canada runs the same electrical grid as the United States - that is, the frequency is 60 Hertz and the voltage available at 'residential' outlets is approximately 120 Vac.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'packing list': if it is drawn up by the resort (presumably you're heading out to some ski facility) or by a tour guide (in which case you may be traveling in the northern regions of the province) ... chances are what they really mean is that there isn't a lot of electrical outlets around. Your trip might classify as one of those 'roughing it' excursions.

If it is the airline, what they really mean is don't put them in your carry-on bags. And if you DO leave in there, don't turn them on while the plane is in flight.

As far as what is allowed on flight in Canada you can take on the aircraft with you for flights check out this link; http://www.catsa-acsta.gc.ca/english/travel_voyage/list.shtml it is from the Canadian transport.

In the US you are allowed to bring all of the above items on your flight with you, in fact they suggest that you bring your laptop with you as a carry on rather than in checked luggage, as it is more apt to get damaged in the checked baggage. If you have more questions regarding US travel you should visit the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/ they have the complete list of what you can and can not bring on the aircraft with you in both your checked and carry on luggage.

Hope this helps and have a great flight!

"Outlets" are the same in Canada as they are in the US. You should be able to use any electronic item in Canada that you use in the US.
