Freedom of Speech is not assured on any private medium, such as yahoo Answers, which is the property of Yahoo Inc. They reserve the right to remove anything that they deem inappropriate for whatever reason they like.
Yahoo does not use political affiliations in this judgment, but simple good business sense.
Have a nice day.

Amendment 1)
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Last time I checked, Yahoo was not owned by Congress, nor by extention of the 14th Amendment, any state or local agency. As such, they may remove anything they choose. It's their backyard. play by their use.

You never read the Constituion have you? Congress shall make no laws abridging your freedom of speech. What a PRIVATE COMPANY(Yahoo!) chooses to do ISN'T covered by the Constitution. Yahoo can do anything they want. After all this is the private company's site. They can do what they want. They are giving you FREE ACCESS to their site. So stop whining. If you had to PAY for use I could see some complaining.

I agree, there is no freedom of speech on Yahoo. You should have looked at the community guidelines before posting. The community guidelines are the rules that you have to agree to if you wish to participate. If you don't agree with the rules, you are free to post your questions elsewhere.

As far as I know, there is still freedom of speech. There are some guidelines on what may be said on yahoo. This is not a freedom of speech issue. You are free to say whatever you please to whomever you please, but they are also free to ignore you. Profanity is illegal in some places, but this is not a limit on freedom to speak. One may speak the profanity, and be arrested for it. Yur freedom to speak was not violated in this case because you did say it, no one stopped you. There is no guarantee of freedom from consequences.
