As a casual viewer, I don't watch tennis anymore, because all the players seem to play the same way, and they have no personality?

Is this right, or do you disagree?
If you don't, which players show a personality on court? Bring back McEnroe, I say!

I reckon that Andy Murray is another McEnroe in the making! At last - a Brit with a bit of oomph!

Being a good tennis player means playing a good technical game, which is good for players. For tennis `watchers` the technical game is very bland. The `watchers` want to be entertained, and that means the players must have personalities, they must play at `one-ups-man ship`. We like to see a `goodie` and a `baddie`, we like to see rivals competing fighting each other with words and actions.I think the hey day for tennis entertainment was the 1970`s with Conners, McEnroe Agassi,,Billie Jean Chris Everett etc.It is thirty years nearly since McEnroe had his outbursts, yet a comedian just has to walk onto a stage in tennis shorts and wearing a head band and waving a tennis racquet and the whole audience erupts into laughter without a word being said. Some of these great players still take part in events, one of the best is Veterans games held in the Albert Hall in London once a year.
