'Liberal' in the classic sense means tolerant to different ideas and open to change. 'Liberal' these days has a political sense that is being used as an insult, although it still means not conforming to conservative ideas. Political conservatives are very upset these days with some of the ideas political liberals are open to, such as marriage equality for gays, and keeping creationism in a philosophy class and out of science. They seem to think that liberal ideas will bring about the end of the world. Liberals, on the other hand, recognize that the only constant is change and many times things NEED to change.

You need a thesis; 3 to 5 main points that will describe what you are going to talk about in your paper - and those main points are usually paragraphs.

So for example:

Many children in today's generation are rejecting liberal values. They are doing this spiritually, physically, and politicially.

First, by liberal values, I mean... (put your explaination of what you mean by liberal values).

Since your on the computer try a search engine to find liberal tenets. It may surprise you to learn the Republican Party was once the party of liberal Ideals.

You might look at FDR programs. He was the liberal high water mark for the true blue liberal idealism.

Good luck.
