Does any one know what el payaso means, or what he represents, or where it originated from? All I know is that I see payasos all the time in Chicano artworks. Thanks.

The literal translation for EL PAYASO is THE CLOWN. They represent the joy......... but can be sad sometimes also

But in most of the spanish speaker countries, we say Payaso, or Payasa to a person that is always saying nonsenses to make the other pple laugh.
Or to pple that are funny when talking.

Hope it helps
