Joey from Slipknot. I don't care if you don't like Slipknot, he's an amazing drummer.

There have been many great drummers in rock history. John Bonham was one of the few I could definitely recognize when I heard him on a "new" song. Jason Bonham has much of his dad's talent and style.
Ringo Starr, although not technically the best is by far one of the most poular. Ask 10 people (over 30 y.o.) to name 3 drummers and Ringo will be on nearly all of their lists.
Neil Peart definitely rules.

Although Moon was original and Bonham was a powerhouse, the title of best drummer in rock still goes to Neil Peart.
Best drummer of all time would be Buddy Rich.

Neil Peart (Rush) and Mark Brzezicki (mainly in Big Country) - both are abstract and have great use of the high-hats and cymbals

Danny Carey from Tool, without question, argument, or anything. If you like metal, Thomas Haake is awesome (Meshuggah), and so is Brann Dailor(Mastodon)
