Im 13 and my period hasn't came for two months. I've only ever had one cycle as I have just started recently. I got worried because I haven't had my period. Is this common when you first start? I felt too embarrassed to talk to my mam about this but she knows I've started anyway.
Any ideas?

I started when I was 14. My first one lasted a few days and then 2 months later I got my second one, which lasted 2 weeks. Mine came every other month for about a year, but lasted 2 weeks every time. I would say that you are totally normal. Don't worry about it at all. The only down side is that you will have to follow how your body is feeling to find out when you will start again. If you are getting moody and tender, stomach cramps etc, it is probably near to that time. It will become regular soon enough.

Your period is very irregular when you first start. You might not have your period for another year! And that is perfectly normal. Dont worry! And if you have any other problems go to www.beinggirl.com

Yes it sounds quite normal for a 13 year old. It is such a shame that you feel you cannot talk to your Mum about these things, I'm sure she would be helpful if you did. Good luck.

It's totally normal. When you first start nearly eveyone is irregular. When I first started I once went 5 months without my period.

It is very normal, especially amongst younger and/or skinnier people. As you get older, it'll even a out a lot more (and you won't be happy about it!) and you'll be able to regulate it better. Also, if you play sports and/or are very thin, this can throw off your period a lot.

yes it is normal. don't worry - unless of course you've had sex, in which case there is always the risk of pregnancy. Either way, discuss it with your mum.
