Assuming you know the tightening sequence what us old timers did was start out ,in sequence tighten all the bolts down to 20 lbs using a torgue wrench then go back through the tightening sequence and tighten to 40lbs and then repeat one more time bringing them up to 60 lbs. We did this to guarentee an even torque on all the bolts holding down the heads with no chance of having one tighter than any other

Make sure to run "taps" through block and rinse. Clean head bolts of "any" crap. Oil head bolts with solid 30 weight oil before torqueing to get a "true torque reading" that can be felt among all other bolts. Check headgasket instructions for final torque procedure.

You need to torque them in the proper sequence and the torque may vary if its a newer engine than the 75.
