Neither is worse than the other. Slavery by any name is still slavery, which is not just a western world concept. Do you know that during WWII, the Japanese soldiers held Korean women as "comfort women?" Or, that some native americans took people from other tribes to be their slaves? Or, that people on the African continent had slaves long before the English ships got there? To be a slave anywhere is an atrocity and when you think about it, slavery is still going on right now. For example, the man that beats his wife is the overseer. I don't care what color or religion he is. Every time a woman cries out during his blows and another woman ignores her for it, she becomes even more a slave without a voice in a silent world. To be a slave is to be invisible. No, neither one is worse than the other.

Holocaust was worse because was a deliberate attempt to exterminate a whole group of people
American slavery was worse
1)because more people died as a result and
2)also people were stripped of their identity - the jews that survived the holocaust kept at least their identity as jews but the africans were deprived of tehir language, culture, religion, names. identities, families
3) There has been mass compensation for holocaust victims but non for victims of slavery
4) The racist attitudes that informed the holocaust have all but disappeared from society today - yet racist attitudes towards blacks continue

both the jewish holocaust and black slavery are undesirable events in historic previous which will continuously be heartbreaking. both are coronary heart wrenching yet i might want to assert that between both events, i might want to assert the holocaust is larger tragic basically because of the very reality thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of jews were slautered and starved to lack of life which contain youthful ones. like i discussed, in consumer-friendly words because of the very reality i imagine of the jewish holocaust is larger tragic, it doesnt advise that slavery wasnt tragic.

The effect of Slavery never seemed to wear off either.

I am suffering just reading this question. How and why would you compare to see which is worse? Any crime done to a human being is an atrocity. Slavery, holocaust, wars, murders, rapes, etc. It makes no difference. It's all horrible.

Slavery...wanna know why? Jews have recieved reparations for the attrocities committed against them....they were given a country that was already occupied, bmw paid them, mercedes paid them, and so on. Blacks have recieved nothing. Kinda helps heal the wounds if you get a whole country right?

Both were bad. And I'm sure anyone who has been through either would argue their experiences were worse. I wasn't there, so I'm not in a position to say. But, they both were horrible.
No, it doesn't force anyone to think. You have thousands of people stolen from their homeland, robbed of their culture, and sold into slavery. They were killed, beaten and tortured.
Then you have a group of people who were rounded up like cattle, killed, beaten and tortured. Sent to concentration camps where you could smell the stinch of their family and friends being burned alive. They are both wrong and horrible, and it makes no sense to pick one just because you feel like taking a little poll.

I'd have to go with the Holocaust because it was actually done to kill them. Slavery was done for cheap labor. Killing for killing's sake is always worse than greed.

thats a tough one, but I would have to say holocaust. Simply because they were also forced into slavery, but they were starved, gassed, tortured and forced to watch their families murdered. Many had to go into hiding even long after the holocaust.
