My first thing to tell you is pray about it. Ask God where he wants you to be. If your unhappy in that place look for something else and if it takes relocating then do that as well. Never stay anywhere that your unhappy or uncomfortable. Just like you found that job you'll find another one. So relax and think about it and pray. I relocated about a year ago to another state and I'm not going to lie to you at first it was hard, but then it got easier. every day is not going to be a bed of roses but you have to learn to except the good with the bad. It will be okay........" If you settle for nothing you'll fall for anything"

Austin TX is a GREAT place, as well as Houston.
If ya take the jump and move and don't like it or it doesn't work out, you can always come back home.
Or, you can sit in your miserable, boring, dead end job watching everyone else suck up to keep their jobs, wishing you had jumped at the chance to get the hell out and do something new.
The place that is possibly offering the job in Austin....talk to someone there....maybe they know of a place you can stay until you get situated...someone can show you the town, palces to hang out, eat, shop, live. It is always risk doing soemthing that big, but take it from someone who has done it, you will not regret it.
I moved to Seattle WA with my soon to be sister in law while my Bro was stationed out there. We both left friends and family and jobs to go and then HE gets deployed for 16 months. We worked, hung out and had A BLAST!!!!! Even if she wouldn't had been there with me, I still would have went.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Keep this job, but meanwhile look for another job with the same pay, around your place. If you're in no luck, look farther than your town, but don't quit and look. As soon as you find a job, and you know you're going to be happy with that job, and able to move accordingly, quit the job you currently have and give them a peice of your mind.
If you don't want to move, than the only choice it so suck it up, or find a less paying job in your own town ( neither choices seem right)
If you want to move, make sure you're prepared before you quit your current job.
Until then, suck it up, cause if you don't, they'll fire you.

Take it from someone trying to support two kids, pay all the bills myself, your job is truly an asset.I'm happy because I just landed a part time crappy one but at least it's something,my tax refund will catch my bills up,not build a savings or take a vacation. The stress of being jobless is much worse than queer, bosses. You will find something better because your driven, and I do understand the sick feeling they give you.I used to work front desk at a motel where all the married gays, and hookers showed up and it made me sick when they were checking in feeling each other up,but watching my bills pile up makes me feel like I'm having a constant heart attack,Hang in there, keep going to monster jobs .com ,try your local phone company, they have great jobs and tuition reimbursement, promotes from within and professional atmosphere.

Man, you just have to keep plugging away every day, and take joy in simple things. What alternative is there? None. Suicide is stupid. Atheist or theist, it is a poor choice. SO just keep on keeping on, and maybe things can get better. What about different medications for your depression? If the current batch doesn't work, demand something else. You have to be an advocate for your own health care. Good luck.

i think that staying at your job would be the best decision to make. an oppurtuniy to have a good job in texas seems great! plus, a different location might not be so bad. just continue what your doing, dont give in to the idiots at your work and do your job the best that you can. hopefully it pays off and your able to reach your job goal sooner then you thought. im sure you'll make the right choice!

a little risk and change of scenery could be really good for you. it sounds like you need to figure out what your potential in life is, and you aren't going to happen upon your potential working a dead-end job that obviously doesn't challenge you. it's your life and you only live it once!
