What is the best kayak to get?
Ok I have kayaked before but basically you can call me a beginner. I am looking to use the kayak for multiple things, not just fishing or small paddles. I would use it for fishing, long trips, short trips but moslty in the bay/ocean because I dont have any rivers/lakes where I live. Now what I need in a kayak is storage space, great stability in waves, enough room to be comfortable for long voyages and faster if possible. What kayak based on my needs would be suitable for me. Also I want to keep the price lower than 1500. I know some of these things can caost around 5 grand. It can be made out of plastic, kevlar, wood but I dont and inflatable ones. Hope you can help. Prijon--Yukon Expidition-Chec out its specs.Just type same on Gogle and E Bay is showing some ---I have 2 and we find them the best for storage and to go anywhere.

Best thing to do is to rent several different kinds. A lot of the dealers around here have "demo days" where you can try different models for free.
I had my heart set on a Current Design model a few years ago...had even picked out the colours. Then I rented one and it was uncomfortable and my butt fell asleep.
so try lots of them, don't rush into it, as even used ones are expensive. For casual use, plastic is fine...you can drag them up on a rocky beach without worrying about scratching it.
