You should check out Weezer's "Buddy Holly". A fun song.

I like a good handful of the music you do. How about The Patti Smith Group (Rock n Roll N*****), David Byrne ("Wicked Little Doll" or anything from the album "Feelings"), Talking Heads (any song), Lou Reed ("Pale Blue Eyes", "Perfect Day" or "Street Hassle") Velvet Underground ("Waiting for my Man" or "Heroin"), Pigface (they're a mishmash of musicians, including Trent Reznor & Genesis P. Orridge. Anything from "A New High in Low"), E.L.O. ("M. Blue Sky" or anything from "Time"), Mr. Bungle (The Album "California" in it's entirity), The Prodigy ("Poison," "Breathe," or "Girls"), Aphex Twin ("Come to Daddy", "Window Licker" -- particularly the video, or any album of his), The Misfits ("Where Eagles Dare"), The White Stripes ("Hotel Yorba", or "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground"), Neil Young ("Don't Let it Bring You Down", "After the Goldrush"), Devo ("Gut Feeling", "Uncontrollable Urge", or "Girl You Want"), Kraftwerk ("The Robots", or "Trans-Europe Express"), Joy Division (Anything from "Closer").

You have a broad taste in rock music! It appears you like alternative rock the best.

Try visiting http://www.pandora.com for excellent music recommendations.

Personally, I would suggest The Violent Femmes, Incubus, and A Perfect Circle.

you've got nin listed near the top of that. good job.

some songs i like that you might also:

Smells like teen spirit, rape me, lithium, all of which are by nirvana.

Three days grace: pain.

the kidney theives: crazy, glitter girl woman

seether: 69 tea

apocalyptica: gothic metal, betrayal/forgiveness, sepultura, life burns! (apocalyptica is a belgian instrumental cello heavy metal band, really original, check 'em out!)

the white stripes: I can wait, seven nation army, forever for her (is over for me), the denial twist

the list goes on.

as for genre, my favorite is industrial, though you wouldn't know it from the list, lol. industrial music employs the use of synthesizers, computer crap and the like. industrial rock (stuff like nin, the kidney theives; something in that area) is mega awesome! go for it!
