Ask yourself if your guilt is justified. If it is, then repair whatever it is you did. If it isn't, then go find something else to do and get on with your life.

Nobody is perfect. It's wise to establish deeply ingrained behavior patterns for "doing what is right" and "doing the hard things." But nobody bats 1000. If you've done something wrong, it's natural and right that you should feel guilty. But it's damaging for guilt to persist over the long term.
To reduce guilt, own up to your actions. Take responsibility. Whenever possible and appropriate, do what you can to "right the wrong." Admit your error to the people who were affected, and make amends. More important, resolve not to repeat your wrongdoing or error. If you're sincere, and if you do right going forward, you can then do the most important thing, which is to forgive yourself. That means putting it behind you.
There's no free lunch with this. It's hard to do what's right, and it's hard to escape the guilt if you fail to do so. But you can do both.

Develop your own sense of justice. If it feels wrong, then amend it, if you are fine with it, dismiss it.
Regardless of your morality, if you have thought it well, and have a firm belief in what you think is right and wrong you have my respect.
