I was married at 17, and have been married for a year and a half. It's the most wonderful thing in the world. It's not right for all people, but if you are mature enough in that love for her and you are mature enough to handle the weight and responsibilities that marriage can bring, then you are in for an amazing experience. There is nothing greater than growing, from what most consider a "young" age, with one that you love so truly.

Besides, everyone says that you are going to grow so much in the next few years. This is the best opportunity to get married--you will grow WITH your spouse, instead of growing up, getting set in your ways, and then trying to mesh things together at a later date. Growing TOGETHER will help your marriage last. (People used to get married at 14 and 15 in the old days, anyways! And there was a MUCH lower divorce rate back then!)

I wish you the best!!!!!

To sum it up: Yes, in case you didn't notice, 19 is a fine age. I was 2 years younger, and I've survived--happily. (Although my husband is about 2 and a half years older)

Marriage at the age of 19 is not such a good idea. I say that because as you grow older things about you will change. The core of you will be the same but you will see things differently and want to do new things. Being in your twenties would be a better time in your life for marriage. If you start dating the young lady you will know if she loves you or not. Have a serious committed relationship first and then marriage.

What are you talking about? You don't even know if she loves you and are asking about marriage? 19 is way too young. I always say the minimum age should be 25 and after having lived together for at least a couple years. You should be playing the field at your age. Whatever you do, do not get married or start cranking out crumb crunchers until you have finished school (college), are a couple years into a promising career and have your housing situation down. Same for her.

NO! I was married at 19 and many, many years have passed since then and we are still happily married. In fact, I plan on being with my husband forever. SO, it might surprise you that I say no. What you don't know at 19 is how complicated life can be. It takes a good while to figure out who you are and what you want. I happen to have been a pretty mature 19 year old who was always responsible but MARRIAGE is huge. Why rush it? Enjoy dating and having fun minus the bills, inlaws and such.

In general I would say too young. But it is different for everyone. My mum married at 19 and was married for 24 years..... turns out she was a lesbian and left my Dad for a woman but meh?
My point is a 19 you might not know yourself well enough to decide there is a lot of change ahead of you especially at this age. Its kind of a transitional period for both of you.

Also you both need to be in love for a good long time and comfortable with expressing it before you consider marriage. Even though it is not very romantic marriage is usually discussed in a couple before it is proposed even if it is only in a very general way.

You don't say that this woman is your girlfriend? Is she? If not one step at a time hey?

I don't really have a right to tell you when to marry, but in my opinion, 19 is too young. Imagine complications and financial status. YOu guys may say you love each other and all, but there are certain stuff that goes a long way in being together for a long time. Imagine fighting, arguing, and being faithful at all time. it's not just major things, but small things as well. Consider carefully before you may make the biggest mistake of your life! =)

Good Lord, NO. You will ruin your life. I'll bet in 3 years you don't even remember her name. Don't make lifelong decisions before you've even finished growing. You will live a VERY long time. It isn't like when your Grandpa married your Grandma in 1920. They weren't expecting to live much past 60. You will be here into your 100's. Trust me, Pal, you jump the gun on this and a lot of people will get hurt.

You're too young - don't rush into anything, let alone marriage - you've got plenty of time for that later. This should be the time in your life to have fun, figure out who you are and what you want to do, and live a little before you settle down and saddle yourself with so much responsibility.

I can only speak from experience, but my marriage at 19 was a disaster of epic proportions. We both needed time to grow up before making a decision like that. It ended in a messy divorce 3 years later. Only you can decide what's right for you, though.

i personaly dont think you should not get maried.
1) you dont know if she loves you or not so lets say you do and she really doesnt love you the marrage wouldnt last.
2) i think first you would want to finish school and become something for yourself. If you get married with no profession not to be mean or anything your not going to have a really good job.
so finish college before you get married so you can support her and your family later on. : ) Hope that helps!
Have a good day!
