1. In ROTJ at jabba's court we see jabba pulling the dancing girl with the things on her head toward him as she's resisting. He pulls her closer and closer, but we don't see what he does when he gets her. Does he eat her?

2. There seems to be almost a cult among the fanboys for Boba Fett, a pretty minor character in the first 3 films. Why?

At one point during Oola the Twi'lek dancer's performance, Jabba pulls on Oola's chain to make her dance closer to him. She resists, and so Jabba hits the switch that opens up a trap door, sending her to the Rancor pit below the audience chamber, where she gets eaten by the Rancor.

Boba Fett's popularity stems from a few things:
From his appearance in the holiday special, to his roles in Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, he looks very mysterious: he's masked, armed and dangerous, and says very little. this built up an aura of mystique about him - what's his past? what does he look like under the helmet? he's clearly shown as the best bounty hunter in the business, so he's got to be lethal (Vader has to tell him "No disintegrations"). Plus, some aspects of his character appeal to people - as a foe to Han and Luke, he's a villain. But he's not a cog in the Empire. Rather, he's an outsider, a loner, lethal and quiet, and gains respect from everyone, even Vader. Lucasfilm and Kenner built up a little more background for him on his bio on the action figure card, mentioning that he was a Mandalorian supercommando. And of course, there was the cool factor of the Kenner mail-in offer for a rocket firing Boba Fett action figure (which got dropped since there was a choking hazard). This explains why a relatively obscure character became so popular before the prequels. As Boba's story was expanded upon, there came a bigger option to explore the Mandalorian culture (only seen briefly in a few of the old Marvel comics) as well as Boba's continuing adventures. Now that we've seen that Jango was the template for the clones and helped with their training, there are greater connections between the stormtrooper fans and Mandalorian fans - both of which are also not surprisingly into armor.

01. Jabba dropped the Twi'lek dancer (Oola) into the Rancor pit due to her resistance. She was eaten by the Rancor as a result.

02. Boba Fett has been created as the most famous and effective bounty hunter in the Galaxy. He is the son of bouny hunter Jango Fett (see Attack of the Clones) and grew up hating the Jedi, while adopting the Mandalorian ways of honor through battle and hunting. He has hunted and killed wookiees and is the best at the hunt.

Well from what I remember after having seen all Star Wars movies like a million times - the floor fell out from under her and she dropped down into the pit where that monster was ( a rancor) or something like that.

Boba Fett is just popular because of just that. All you really know about him is that he is a bounty hunter - but in retrospect - (from the last 3 films) - you see that he was a major contributor and now how his character makes more sense. Plus he had that cool space ship.

1. She was eaten by the Rancor.
2. He comes come as a Clint Eastwood anti-hero character. He is in it for himself. I think Boba' costume has an appeal that really sets him apart. It is like a stormtrooper, yet, it is like from a different group(Mandalorians). He just made an impact.

Jabba doesn't seem to me like a man that goes downtown, I'm thinking it would be too graphic either way.

He's a bounty hunter. I think that pretty much sums it up.

I believe a trap door was sprung from under her and she fell into some sort of pit... She was eaten, but not by Jabba.

1. Wasn't she the one he put in the rancor pit?

2. He appears in the later films too. I'm not really sure exactly why people like him so much, though.
