Birthday HELP!?

Question

I need simple homemade really cheap party decorations! The colors must be pink and blue! Its a kids party! HELP what can I make!?

Ok more info. There twin girls this is there 12th birthday. We CANT have water! Its in a park.

Check out all your local dollar stores and 99 Cent stores - they always have SOMETHING and each store generally has a different selection. You should be able to pick up the crepe paper there and possible poster board for signs, etc., as well as balloons, plates, cups, utensils and decorations.

It would help if you give a little more info: twins? Infants? Toddlers? Elementary school? Water balloons are fun for the older kids and if it's warm outside.

One year I did a pirate themed party for my daughter - got cheap wood boxes from a craft store and painted them. Picked up a bag of plastic gold coins, painted an X on a number of them then let the kids pass a bag around, each reaching in and pulling out a coin. An X got to pick out a "treasure box" from the middle of the circle. No X got candy. When everyone finally got a box, they kept passing the bag, collecting candy and coins until it was empty. Inexpensive (the boxes were less than $1 each) and took time to play but kept their attention. Also luck only involved - everyone regardless of age had a fair chance.

Paper chains, your own streamers (cut out long thin strips of paper and curl them with scissors, then scatter around the house), confetti (if you have a specially shaped cutter and/or are feeling adventurous with scissors)!, a banner you could draw, write or create on the computer and print.
