I know being a listener helps, but it does not help that much with women who get beat up on a regular basis.

There is no 'treatment' those woman live in fear and their self confidence is less than zero. Those who break the cycle do so, often at fear for their own life or those of their children. They need to feel safe and secure and have encouragement to realise they are victims of and not the cause of the environment they have lived in and through.

There is no best treatment because only they can stop it. I suppose the only way is discussion groups with other women who have experienced it and how they pulled through. There is nothing more inspiring than listening to stories of how others have survived, most women who have suffered domestic violence think they are the only ones going through this and are afraid of what people would say about them. Also most people aren't forthcoming about it.

Try to understand, explain that it ISNT their fault. Help to build up their strength & confidence and guide them to the right info for helping themselves get to a better life. xxx
Sway_26 - I hope you or any of your family dont ever find yourselves in this situation. You shouldnt speak up on situations you obviously have NO IDEA about whatsoever !!!

If a women ALLOWS it then there is not treatment needed. If it is happening and she is fighting it them cameras and jail time will fix most problems for a start anyway.

Hidden cameras are the best solution and cheap as heck.
