18 in most states in the US. In a few it's 21. If the club is 21+ to enter, but 18+ to dance, the dancers under 21 may be required to wear a bracelet so they will not be served alcohol (customers often buy drinks for dancers). In Canada, 16 is the minimum age to become an exotic dancer.
No, there is no special training, and most clubs would hire a dancer with two left feet as long as her looks and body could sell. In some states, like Nevada and Georgia, the dancer must obtain an entertainer's license, which can cost up to $300.
A stripper can make a maximum of $1,000-ish a night. I have not heard of a dancer making under $200 on a night shift. The bulk of money comes from couch/lap dances, which can cost a customer $5 to $50, $20 on average, per dance. The dancer doesn't make much while on stage (unless it's a large crowd), usually tipped in small bills, like $1s, $5s, and $10s. The dancer keeps this money, it is not divided with the club.
Some clubs have "house fees", which the dancer must pay before starting her shift. It's usually $50 - $200. She may be required to tip the bouncers, house-mom, DJ, and makeup artist, even if their services are not used.
Although this is rare, some upscale clubs require both the customer and dancer to pay for the use of the private/champagne/VIP rooms, because the dancer will make more money in tips.

In my state, the minimum age is 18.
As for training, it's pretty much at the discretion of the club.
Most clubs will "hire" a dancer as an independent contractor, which means they won't pay you, you'll only make tips. You might also have to pay the club owner for the "Stage Time."
It also means that they won't protect you with things like worker's comp (so don't get hurt,) sick leave (so don't get hurt or sick,) tax withholding (so don't get audited,) and Social Security (so don't get old.)
There have been lots of speculations about how much strippers make on Yahoo answers. I think most are pretty optimistic, but some have been written by real strippers, rather than people like me, who have just done some research. Do a quick search, and read some.
I haven't seen many mentions of "Tip outs," so I don't know if that is still a common practice. Basically, a Tip-out is the money you, the dancer, pays the bar-tender and bouncers for their services.
Good luck in whatever your friend decides to do.
