The idea that we need the government to run our lives. Almost every time the government gets involved with private citizens or the free market it turns out bad.

Whoever holds the reins of power at any time tend to have the most distorted, subjective, and corrupt views of politics and reality in general. The disenfranchised (those with no power or political influence) tend to be more objective, at least while they are out of power.
The problem is not WHO is in office, it is the excessive power of the office itself. A government that is strictly limited to the constitutional boundries (with a people who care enough to make sure it is enforced) would not be the same level of problem even with George Bush as president -- he simply could not legally do what he has done, the congress, senate and supreme court would not allow it.
Those who don't recognize this, and call for even more power and centralization of power are the ones with the worst views of politics.

Politics are essential to government because it all teaches lessons. Lessons we all can use to gain more understanding. When we actually learn from our lessons, we have an understanding that can exalt our nation to do better. I believe that politics can be just an fair. It might not be now, but it has been in our past. We all need to realize that asking these very same questions make us smarter in the end. You could someday run for office and change things for the better. Because you are learning your lessons. Understanding is what we all need, its not all corrupt my friend. We now have the democrats in congress and they are all wanting honest achievment. The nation seems to be divided right now, between two party's. One party does not want to listen, therefore depriving them of understanding.
We have to realize we are not perfect, and that there will be times we have to be strong. Strong as in not giving up, strong in being patient when under fire. Because in the end it will only make us stronger.

On an average sunny day in Washington, not a cloud in the sky, one party can argue that it's raining, the other that it's not. The biggest problem is when the media gets involved, then the pollsters and a day later, half of the American people are convinced it rained in Washington the day before.

When politicians, especially those with real power to change people's lives, think there are only two ways to solve a problem, their way and the wrong way.
George Bush and his crew unfortunately think anyone disagreeing with the way they do things is wrong.

You are asking for VIEWS and not people right!? The VIEW that my way is the only way and the correct way, which is the way I see most polititians today think. They even think they know what is best for me and my family personally. They don't. What may work for them, doesn't work for me and what works for me may not work for them.

The worst? In my opinion it is ANYBODY that thinks they are totally right no matter what. NO ONE EVER is totally correct. There is a reason that we all have our own brains.
